Lake Erie Junior Traveler Trophy
Series 2008
The Junior Traveler series is a competition for juniors
from I-LYA member clubs, based on the best five of eight
regatta finishes of registered skippers and crew at
any of the qualifying regattas. Trophies are awarded
to skippers and crew. There is also a Club Team trophy
and a best five of eight races team award for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place!
Fleets
The following fleets qualify for the Traveler Series:
Thistle, CFJ, C420, Laser, Laser Radial, and Optimist.
Rules
The races will be governed by The Racing Rules
of Sailing 2005-2008, applicable prescriptions
of US Sailing, this Notice of Series, and The Sailing
Instructions of each individual event.
Eligibility
The Lake Erie Traveler Series is open to any junior
sailor who will be 7 years or older on January 1, 2008
and will not turn 19 years of age before January 1,
2009.
A completed Registration/Waiver Form is required for
each participant in the Travelers Series. An individual
must register only as helm or crew, and only in one
fleet.
There are three ways to register: online, in-person, or by mail.
Registration will be made by submitting a completed
Registration/Waiver Form and the registration fee ($10.00 for online registration/payment or $15.00 for in-person or mail-in registration/payment) per participant. Checks should be made payable to Lake
Erie Junior Traveler Trophy.
Each club's Race Team Coordinator should make sure that each of their Juniors have registered either online, in-person, or by mail by the deadline below.

No late registrations

Skippers Meeting
Skippers meeting for all regattas will be at 10:00
A.M., with first race to follow per Regatta Sailing Instructions.
